Family Easter Celebration

Spring break is over and it’s time to get crackin’ with all the spring cleaning. {More on that later on this week.} But before I get started, here’s a little peek at our Easter Sunday celebration.

The kids all dressed up and ready for church. Pretty smiles.

Laughing uncontrollably…this photo session is over.

We had some friends over in the afternoon for some coffee and cake. I made my Fancy […]

Ice Cream Cone Cakes

Iced with Sprinkles

I guesss you could say I’ve been on a cupcake craze lately. Not sure why, except the ideas I’ve come accross looked like they would be fun to make. These Ice Cream Cone Cakes were quite simple to make.

Just use a cake mix, line a cupcake pan with baking cups, fill them with batter and top them off with a cone. After cooling, remove the liner, ice and decorate. Enjoy!

She loves to read Nancy Drew, so we planned a mystery party. It was a big success. Tons of fun was had by all and great memories were made.

Keeping our theme in mind we created the invitation.

On the day of the party, as the children arrived, they played the candy […]

Birthday Cake – Magnifying Glass

Magnifying Glass cake w/ icing

Here’s a fun and easy cake to make. I made it for Clara’s mystery birthday party.

1. Bake an 8″ round and 8″ square cake.

2. Cut the handle from the square cake.

3. Cover the entire cake with icing. I used this Wilton buttercream icing recipe.

4. Pipe stars with the black icing on the handle and rim. I used a #16 tip.

5. Shade the glass with blue pearl dust. Just use […]
