I found this idea on how to make homemade hot cocoa mix at Polished to Perfection, and just had to try it. Stick a few in a mug and pass them out to friends and family for a fun and enjoyable homemade gift.

I made this fabulous spiced walnut recipe for Clara’s orchestra teachers yesterday. It’s super easy to make and the house smells so good. I packaged the nuts in a holiday treat bag and put them in a candy dish.

3 cup walnut halves 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1 tsp. grated orange zest 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground ginger 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
