We enjoyed a wonderful break from the business of normal life. Our time off started out with our traditional Christmas Eve celebrations.

Everyone is all dressed up and ready for church.

Decorating Gingerbread Houses

It was Nicholas’ wish to decorate a gingerbread house this year. While out shopping this week, we picked up two gingerbread house kits.

Today, the kids finally got to build and decorate their houses.

 

Once the frame dried it was time to decorate.

 

 

 

Several hours later they finished and here are their colorful creations. Love them!

Add a little whimsey to your tree with these Peanut Santa Ornaments. I think they would look cute tied to a present as well.

Here are the super simple directions.

Supplies needed:

peanuts paint {red, flesh} cotton ball thread markers {red, black} glue
