Ice Cream Cupcake

Kids love working in the kitchen. So, why not host a cupcake decorating party? On Friday, the Bible club girls had a great time rotating through stations making fun and tasty cupcakes.

Here’s how it worked.

1. Choose several decorating options.

There are tons of creative and fun ideas out there. Pinterest anyone? (By the way, you can follow me here :)) Here’s a collection of easy cupcake decorating ideas I came across. I […]

Valentine’s Day Dinner

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

Today was a crazy day. I woke up not feeling very well but I had to pull myself together. I was scheduled to give a presentation to a wonderful group of ladies in the morning. However, soon after I got going I realized that I wouldn’t have enough energy to teach piano in the afternoon and would need to go to bed (= lay on the couch) as soon as I got […]

Are you looking for a fun and exciting game to play at your next birthday party? Look no further!

This party game takes a little time to prepare, but it’s well worth the effort. I worked on it while watching a movie.

1. Bake an 8″ round and 8″ square cake.

2. Cut the handle from the square cake.

3. Cover the entire cake with icing. I used this Wilton buttercream icing recipe.

4. Pipe stars with the black icing on the handle and rim. I used a #16 tip.

5. Shade the glass with blue pearl dust. Just use […]

Party Guessing Game

Here’s a fun way to get the party started as guests arrive.

1. Fill a jar with candy of your choice, but make sure to count it first. Write the amount on a piece of paper and keep it hidden.

2. As guests arrive let them hold and study the jar. Then have them write their guess on a sheet of paper.

3. After you collect all guesses determine who came the closest to […]
