Every year, Nicholas and I work on a few art projects together. He likes to create and the county fair art show gives us a good excuse to spend some time working together. You can see some of his past creations here.

Throughout the year I add pins to my Kids Art Board on Pinterest. Then when it’s time to start painting, I let him look through the pins and […]

Valentine’s Day Graham Cracker Houses

Valentine's Day house

Pin it here.

We had some fun creating these little graham cracker houses over the weekend. I’m sure sneaking candy while crafting had nothing to do with the kids’ enthusiasm when I asked them if they would like to participate. 😉

Here’s how we did it.

Supplies needed:

graham crackers icing candy piping bag and tips

We started out by “gluing” the houses together. This was a little tricky and some […]

I came across this art project idea over at bloesm kids. The directions are very easy to follow. The one thing I would add is to make sure your paper is wet enough so the color will “spread”.

Best of all, it’s a very kid friendly project. They especially like working with the India ink.

watercolor paper watercolor paint sponge brush paintbrush black India ink […]

Today, we’ll study the painting on page 16 of the book Can You Hear It? by William Lach. This is super exciting […]
