We’re continuing the Valentine’s Day 2015 mantle project reveal with this LOVE letter wall art tutorial. It’s such a simple and quick way to add a festive atmosphere to a room. I’m using pastel colors this year, but I think bright reds and pinks would look really nice, too.

Make your own Valentine’s Day Art

Valentine's Day Mantle

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it’s time to decorate! This year, I decided to create some art for the mantle. {You can check out last year’s mantle here.}

Over the weekend I spent some time working on these water lilies. I used the same process I shared in my Goldfish Pond post. I’m loving the results and especially how easy it is.

I came across this art project idea over at bloesm kids. The directions are very easy to follow. The one thing I would add is to make sure your paper is wet enough so the color will “spread”.

Best of all, it’s a very kid friendly project. They especially like working with the India ink.
