How to Make Flower Cabochon Rings and Earrings

Cabochon Jewelry

Pin it here.

This past Friday evening it was my turn to host our craft club. The goal of our club is to start making gifts for Christmas and to enjoy some time together laughing and eating. {You can check out the Strawberry Chocolate Trifle I made here. It was super delicious!}

I chose to teach everyone how to make several different earrings and rings. Today, I’m sharing this very simple cabochon jewelry tutorial. I think you’ll really like the results and want to make some for yourself or as gifts.

Stay tuned for more jewelry tutorials later this week.

Rings

Supplies needed

Place a dab of glue on the cabochon base and attach to the ring base. Let dry.

Here’s a little tip. Tape the ring base to a paper plate to let it dry.

To give as a gift, just cut a piece of card stock to size. Use a decorative hole punch for the top and bottom. Poke holes for the earring posts.

There you have it. A super simple jewelry craft!

    Thanks, Laurie! Make sure you include yourself on the gift list. 😉

  • Hi Monica, just popping in to say thank you for linking up this week! I will be on the gift list for this Christmas project!

    Great tutoral. How long do you let the glue set before attaching to the post? How long do you wait to wear? I’m having a hard time getting the cobochans to stay attached to the post.

    Thanks, Carrie! The earrings can be a little tricky. If possible, place the flower upside down on your work surface and place the post on top. Hold the post in place until it stops moving/sliding {a minute or two}. Otherwise just hold the post between your fingers until the flower stops sliding. I like to let the glue set over night, then it should be ready for you to wear. Also, make sure you’re not using too much glue. :) Hope this helps.
    Cheers, Monica
