I have something special to share with you today!
This ham loaf recipe comes from a cookbook called Wilda’s Recipes.
Wilda was my Grammy. She was a fabulous cook, but most of all a very special friend.
The recipes in this cookbook were copied directly from the recipe cards in her kitchen. And trust me, she had A LOT. My Aunt Kitty took on the task of organizing and editing them all so our family, friends and you could have the chance to create new memories with her recipes.
Today I’m sharing Grammy’s ham loaf recipe with you. It is so very good!
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 lb sausage
- 1 lb. smoked ham, chopped fine
- 3 eggs
- 1 ½ c. cracker crumbs
- brown sugar
1. Grind meat together.
2. Mix in eggs and cracker crumbs.
3. Add enough milk to make soft mold.
4. For the syrup, combine mustard, brown sugar, vinegar and water.
5. Poor over loaf and keep basting.
Bake at 375º for approx. 2-2 ½ hours or until syrup is thick.
I’d love to stay connected.
