Pasta Salad With Tomatoes and Olives

Our recent summer menu included a couple of new salads. And let me tell you, this Pasta Salad with Tomatoes and Olives is absolutely delicious.

Our favorite cook adapted the recipe found here. Instead of sun-dried tomatoes and capers she used fresh tomatoes for the dressing. The garlic gives this salad a nice “kick”.

To Do Lists Work

To Do List

Lately, I’ve benefited from making daily to do lists for myself. They’ve helped me stay organized and focused throughout the day. Without my list I tend to get distracted easily and forget what goals I set for myself. List making has most definitely upped my productivity.

We decorated the porch.

Grilled up some steak and hot dogs.

Tossed salad.

Dessert – Caramel Brownies {I’ll post the recipe a little later today :)}

10 meal menu

It’s been a while since I posted a meal menu. We like to grill a lot in the summer, so my favorite chef is preparing several side dishes for us this time around.

I’m excited, because we’re trying out a two new pasta salad recipes this time. Obviously we won’t be freezing those. We also won’t freeze the enchilada casserole, chicken salad or rice, black bean and corn salad.

My Messy Kitchen

messy kitchen

Here’s what happens every weekend – a totally messy kitchen. I don’t know why, but it does. {Ahem…so embarrassing.}

Lately, I’ve been setting the timer before cleaning a space or room. It helps me stay focused. Today, I set the timer for 20 minutes. That turned out to be a little ambitious, but I did get it everything cleaned up in 25 minutes.

I promise I didn’t just move everything to the next room […]
