Goals Update ~ May 2013

Goals for 2013

Well, better late than never, right? I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to sit down and review April’s progress. Especially, since I’m so excited about the progress I’ve made on one of my personal goals!

Here we go…

Personal Goals

Complete a Bible Reading Plan. This is working out very well for me. Easy to keep up so far. Check out the plan I’m following here.

Memorize Ephesians. I have not been following  my Ephesians memorization plan at all and am hoping to make significant progress over the summer.

Continue with Church Involvement. Continued with my regular teaching responsibilities. In addition, Vacation Bible School planning is moving full stem ahead. If you’re in the central Ohio area you should check it out – The Armor of God – an adventure into God’s Word. You can register online here.

Write and Publish an Ebook. I thought I would get two chapters written, haha! With all the end of the school year activity going on I’m glad I can get all the regular stuff done!

Lose 20 pounds by the end of July. This is the personal goal I am super excited about. I lost 5 lbs. in April! {and am doing good in May so far, too. :)} Check out some of my recent meal menus. Thanks to our special friend and cook we’ve been eating much healthier.

Financial Goals

We purchased a desk for Clara. Here’s a sneak peek. I love the closed storage!!!

We also received a great referral for someone to replace our exterior doors, our next project!

Blogging Goals

Design a Blog Logo. No news yet.

Update the Blog Design. Nothing new this month.

Develop a Blogging Routine/Schedule. Didn’t get as much time to blog in April. The weather changed and I spent a lot of time outside working in the garden.

Family Goals

Add Bible reading to our evening family time. Instead of evenings, I’ve started to read a few verses in the mornings after breakfast. I haven’t been as consistent as I would wish, but it’s a start.

Learn one hymn a month. Nope. :(

Continue to host Bible Club. We met once in April. Here’s the art project we worked on, Flower Art ~ Watercolor and Black India Ink.

Flower Art

Homeschool Goals

Continue swim lessons. Clara is diving and jumping into the deep end without hesitation and is working on her endurance. Nicholas swam in the deep end last week. And stayed afloat. Yay!!!

Add science lessons. This may turn into a summer project.

Start a Germany/France study. Clara is continuing her Rosetta Stone German lessons.

Complete read-aloud book list. We read half of George Muller: The Guardian of Bristol’s Orphans (Christian Heroes: Then & Now).
Talk about inspiring! I highly recommend this book.
