How to Make a Spring Bulletin Board Display

Spring Bulletin Board


  • green wrapping paper
  • sky blue wrapping paper
  • black border
  • black letters
  • tissue paper flowers {See instructions below.}
  • butterfly cut-outs
  • stapler

1. Cover the bulletin board with blue paper.

2. Cut the green paper to length. Trace grass blades on the back of the wrapping paper and cut out.

3. Attach grass to the board.

4. Add the border.

5. Attach flowers, stems and leaves. Cut stems and leaves from the green wrapping paper.

6. Lay out text and attach to board.

7. Add the butterfly cut-outs.

How to Make Tissue Paper Flowers

  • tissue paper
  • pipe cleaners
  • scissors

1. Layer ten pieces of tissue paper. Cut them into 10″ x 10″ squares. {That’s the size I used for the bulletin board. Adjust the size to fit your project.}

2. Fold the stack of tissue paper like a fan.

3. Fold in half and wrap around the middle with a pipe cleaner.

4. Cut a rounded edge on both sides.

5. Open the fan and start pulling up the tissue paper one layer at a time.

6. Voila! You’ve got a tissue paper flower.

    I thought this was really neat and thought I would try to make it for a bulletin board at the school I work at. I tried making the flowers but mine didn’t turn out quite like yours. But I figured they weren’t going to be exactly alike but they turned out neat. Also, I even did 2 different colors instead of just one. 😀
