Filling the Freezer ~ Breakfast Foods

This past week I decided to focus on preparing some breakfast foods that can be frozen and pulled out as needed. I was inspired by one of Crystal’s post over at Money Saving Mom on how to fill your freezer in four weeks.

Here are four freezer friendly breakfast recipes that we love.

Banana Bread

I made two loaves of this Banana Bread Recipe last Friday. It really is quite tasty, but I think I prefer Grammy’s Banana Nut Bread Recipe. {I may be a little biased though. :)}. To freeze, let the bread cool completely, slice and freeze.

Baked Oatmeal

We loved this Baked Oatmeal Recipe. It was a first for us. Next time I’m going to substitute apple sauce for the brown sugar. I really need to work on consuming less sugar if I have any hope of meeting my weight loss goal.

Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Pancakes

This pancake recipe has become one of our family favorites. It’s so easy to pull out a pancake, heat it up and serve it. The thing I like best of all is that you don’t need syrup!

Cinnamon Rolls

These cinnamon rolls took a little more time to prepare, but the effort was totally worth it. I followed Crystal’s suggestion and used this dough recipe and this filling and icing recipe. Next time I will definitely add more milk to the icing. It looks totally gross in the picture, but it tasted good. I was able to fill three 9″ round foil pans. We froze two pans and devoured one right away. :)
