Goals for 2013 ~ March Update

Goals for 2013

It’s time for another update on how I’m doing with my goals for 2013. Every time I sit down to write my goals update post I get nervous, thinking that I totally failed. But when I get a chance to look over what I did accomplish, I realize that I am moving forward. Not always as fast as I would like, but it’s still forward progress and that’s what counts.

Here we go.

Personal Goals

Complete a Bible Reading Plan. Still on track with my Bible reading plan. I missed a couple of days again this month, but was able to make them up. I also only have one chapter left of Alone with God by John MacArthur. A very encouraging and challenging read!

Memorize Ephesians. I made progress, but wasn’t able to stick with my Ephesians memorization plan. I’m going to reevaluate and post an updated memorization plan for March and April later on this week. I am determined to press on and NOT give up on this goal.

Continue with Church Involvement. Doing this.

Write and Publish an Ebook. I’ve pretty much finished my outline. Now it’s just a matter of buckling down and writing the chapters. I hope to get two chapters written this month.

Lose 20 pounds by the end of July. Ahhh…this is a tough one. I hate to admit it, but I gained weight this month. Not good :(. Part of the problem has been my lack of determination and commitment. I’ll be sharing more on this a little later on.

Financial Goals

We still haven’t tackled any home improvement projects.

I have been sticking to my cash budget. Yay!

Blogging Goals

Design a Blog Logo. No news yet.

Update the Blog Design. Nothing new this month.

Develop a Blogging Routine/Schedule. Everything went really well until this past week. I was overwhelmed with family responsibilities and let my blogging slide.

Family Goals

Add Bible reading to our evening family time. Ahhh…another failed goal, but I’m determined to get it on track.

Learn one hymn a month. Totally failed this one again this month.

Continue to host Bible Club. We met twice this month and made great progress in our study of the book of John. We also made Oreo Cookie Truffles and Stained Glass Window Art for Easter.

Homeschool Goals

Continue swim lessons. We just started the winter session no. 2. Both kids continue to make progress.

Add science lessons. Totally failed this one, again.

Start a Germany/France study. Clara has been much more consistent with her Rosetta Stone German lessons.

Complete read-aloud book list. We finished the Tales of Robin Hood and Marco Polo and have three chapters left of Red Sails to Capri.
