Dayton Aviation Heritage ~ National Historical Park

Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park

We’re on spring break this week and enjoying a little staycation. Staycations are great for exploring your city and state. So yesterday, we enjoyed exploring the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park. As with all our visits to the National Parks so far, we were not disappointed.

The kids completed the Junior Ranger program and earned two badges. {Nicholas was finally old enough (6) to participate and was so proud of his badges.}

Spring Cleaning ~ Hall Closet

Hall Closet

Yesterday, I had a little time on my hands while the kids were completing school work, so I decided to tackle the hall closet. I didn’t think it would take too long since it’s rather small. That was a big mistake! How can so much stuff fit into such a small space?

Here’s the before shot.

I found more stuff for the garage sale {table cloths I never use, unopened craft kits…}, threw out […]

Spring Cleaning ~ Guest Room/ Craft Storage

Spring Cleaning

I was able to start my first little bit of spring cleaning yesterday. {I’m gearing up for the BIG clean which will take place next week during spring break.} After you see the pictures of my guest room/storage room, you’ll know why I started here.

I can’t tell you how embarrassed I am at the condition of this room. Yep, there’s stuff everywhere. But by sharing the pics I figured you’ll see how much […]

Easter Bunny Wall Art

Bunny Wall Art

Here’s what we made at Bible club this week, bedazzled Easter bunny wall art. I think the favorite part for everyone was adding a little glitz and glamor to the canvas.

It’s a simple project that adds color and cheer and a little spring to your decor. Enjoy!

I’m not Superwoman

chicken pot pie

My Big Struggle

I realized a long time ago that I can’t do it all. There, I admit it.

Over the past year or two I’ve struggled with preparing healthy homemade dinners for the family. I read blogs about meal planning, freezer cooking, crock pot meals, etc. But nothing seemed to work well consistently. To be honest, part of the problem has been that I don’t particularly like to cook. {Give me a bathroom to […]

Filling the Freezer ~ Breakfast Foods

banana bread

This past week I decided to focus on preparing some breakfast foods that can be frozen and pulled out as needed. I was inspired by one of Crystal’s post over at Money Saving Mom on how to fill your freezer in four weeks.

Here are four freezer friendly breakfast recipes that we love.

Banana Bread

I made two loaves of this Banana Bread Recipe last Friday. It really is quite tasty, but I think I […]
