Here’s a fun project I did with the Bible club girls this past Friday. It’s simple and sweet!
Supplies needed:
- 8 ½ x 11 red and pink cardstock
- stapler
- paper-cutter
- ribbon
1. Cut strips of paper 1″ wide and 8 ½” long using a paper-cutter. You will need 4 pink and 4 red strips.
2. Fold each strip in half and cut along the crease.
3. Layer 4 strips of paper as pictured. Two pinks sandwiched between two reds.
5. Staple the bottom together.
6. Pull the two red strips away from the pink strips to form a heart.
7. Place a pink strip on each side of the red heart.
8. Staple together.
9. Continue this pattern until you are finished. Your heart “snake” should look like this.
10. Connect the two ends to form a circle. Shape the red and pink strips to form hearts. Then staple together. {This step is a little tricky, so you may need to help younger crafters.}
11. Add some ribbon to your finished heart wreath. Hang up and enjoy!
Add a heart to the middle for a little variation. ♥
