Progresso Recipe Starters ~ Chicken Pot Pie

I’ve been curious to try out the new recipe starters by Progresso. I’m always up for trying an easier way to get dinner on the table. So, last night I made the chicken pot pie. It was very tasty and super easy to make. {Not sure it was so great for the waistline though. ;)}

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 can Progresso recipe starter
  • 1 box refrigerated pie crust
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped deli rotisserie chicken

Then you just follow the instructions that come with the recipe starter. It took me about 15 minutes to get the pot pie ready for the oven. Then it took about 35 minutes to bake and another 10 minutes to let it sit before serving. So from start to on-the-plate-ready-to-eat you’re looking at about an hour.

If you’d like to give this recipe a try here’s a coupon for you to print off. Meijer’s has Progresso Recipe Starters priced at $1.33 this week. This makes them $0.33 after the coupon. {Note – Meijer’s doubles coupons up to $0.99}

I also purchased the Bacon Mac N’ Cheese recipe starter. I’ll let you know how that turns out a little later this week.
