Spring Garden Flowers

Tulips

The weather has been beautiful these past couple of days. The kids have enjoyed riding bikes, playing ball and running around outside and I spent some time in the garden working on my to-do list. I finished around the front of the house, but will still need several days to work in the back flower beds.

Here’s what’s blooming in the garden today.

Weight Loss Update – Oops

SONY DSC

These last two weeks have been a little discouraging. I was determined to excersice at least 3 times a week and drink plenty of water. Alas, I failed miserably. On the other hand, John is still making steady progress!

Looking back, I can identify two reasons why I struggled these last two weeks.

1. I was sick for a large part of the time. Fulfilling all of my mommy/teacher/homemaker duties took up most of […]

Tomato-Ricotta Spaghetti

Tomato-Ricotta Spaghetti

Here’s a new recipe we tried out for our March 30 Meals in a Day freezer cooking session.

Tomato-Ricotta Spaghetti

Let’s just say, we love it! I knew it would be good when I was making it. The olive oil just gives it such great flavor!

To prepare for freezing, I followed the recipe except for adding the ricotta cheese. I wasn’t sure how the cheese would freeze and figured it would be easy […]

Here’s what happened on day 2 of my March 30 Meals in a Day cooking adventure. (Really, it’s more like 30 meals in two days, because I realized after my first try that this would be much easier for me […]
