Spring in December

Every year I have good intentions to plant more spring bulbs in the fall. My problem, however, is that I don’t want to plant them too early so the squirrels dig them up and by the time I remember (after all the holiday craziness) the ground is covered with snow.  Not this year. I got it done this past Saturday. Yay!

This year the kids picked out Tulips, Muscari and Allium for our garden.

If you haven’t gotten around to planting bulbs, it’s not too late to plant some spring color as long as the ground isn’t frozen. Many home improvement and gardening stores have bulbs on clearance right now. So, go pick out your favorites and get to work. You’ll be glad you did when spring comes around next year.

What are some of your favorite spring flowers?
