I found this idea on how to make homemade hot cocoa mix at Polished to Perfection, and just had to try it. Stick a few in a mug and pass them out to friends and family for a fun and enjoyable homemade gift.

Sour Milk

Do you have a recipe that calls for sour milk?


Here’s a simple way to make your own:

Combine 1c. milk and 1 Tbs. vinegar, or if you need a smaller amount ½c. milk and 1 ½ tsp. vinegar.

It’s that easy!

Spring in December

Every year I have good intentions to plant more spring bulbs in the fall. Every year, we gather around our advent wreath as a family on the 4 Sundays before Christmas, to read through the Christmas story. It’s our way of reminding ourselves what this season is all about, the birth of our Savior.
